First Steps #
After activating the plugin, you can immediately start working on your portfolio. To do this, go to the “Portfolio” menu in your WordPress dashboard and click on “Add New Item”.
This screen functions like a regular WordPress post. You should fill in the following fields:
- Title: The title of your portfolio item.
- Content: The content of your portfolio item. You can add text, images, galleries, and videos to showcase your work in the best possible way.
- Featured Image: The cover image of the portfolio item. This will be the primary image displayed when visitors view your portfolio grid.
- Portfolio Categories: The category of the portfolio item. These terms are also used for filtering the grid, making it easier for visitors to find items related to specific categories.
Repeat these steps for all your portfolio items to create a comprehensive showcase of your work.
Please note that the layout uses the same template defined by your theme for posts.
Using Elementor to Edit Portfolio Items #
If you are using Elementor and want to use it to edit the content of your portfolio items, you can enable this option by going to Elementor > Settings > Post Types. To do this, simply select the “Portfolio” item and save your changes. This will allow you to use Elementor’s powerful page builder features to design and customize your portfolio items, giving you even more control over the presentation of your work.
