Redefining the Corporate Workplace

Edifício Aurora represents a new paradigm for corporate architecture in São Paulo's financial district. Moving beyond the conventional glass tower, this 18-story office building introduces a human-centered approach to workplace design, prioritizing well-being, sustainability, and connection to the urban fabric.

The building's most distinctive feature is its dynamic facade system. A series of motorized aluminum fins respond to the sun's position throughout the day, optimizing natural light while reducing solar heat gain. This kinetic skin transforms the building's appearance hourly, creating an ever-changing sculptural presence on the skyline.

At street level, the ground floor sets back to create a generous public plaza, activating the pedestrian realm with a café, exhibition space, and landscaped seating areas. A dramatic triple-height lobby connects the street to the office floors above, with a monumental staircase encouraging movement and chance encounters between tenants.

The typical floor plates offer maximum flexibility, with a structural system that allows for open-plan layouts or compartmentalized offices. Raised access floors accommodate electrical and data cabling, while exposed concrete ceilings with integrated lighting reduce material use and create loft-like workspaces. Every floor has access to outdoor terraces planted with native species, bringing nature into the daily work experience.

Edifício Aurora achieved LEED Platinum certification through a comprehensive sustainability strategy including rainwater harvesting, gray water recycling, photovoltaic panels, and a high-efficiency HVAC system. The project demonstrates that commercial buildings can be both economically successful and environmentally responsible.
